A TV and movie tracker that runs in your browser, nothing to install
Episodely runs at episodely.tv, in the browser on your computer, tablet or phone: there's nothing to download. If you like, add it to your Home Screen and it opens full screen, like an app.
How to do it
- Open episodely.tv. In any browser. Your library, the release calendar, comments, and file imports from TV Time, IMDb, Trakt, Letterboxd and Simkl are all there.
- Sign in or sign up. Anyone can sign up, no invite needed. Basic use is free and stays free.
- Add it to your Home Screen, if you want. On iPhone and iPad, tap «Share», then «Add to Home Screen». In other browsers, use the «Install» button when it shows up, or the browser menu.
- On Android there's an app too. The Episodely app on Google Play uses the same account and the same library: switch between them whenever you like.
What it doesn't do
| It doesn't | Why, and what happens instead |
|---|---|
| Work offline | Your browser keeps a copy of your library so it opens faster. Updating it, searching, or reading comments needs a connection. |
| Exist as an App Store app | There's no iOS app: on iPhone and iPad you use Episodely in the browser, or from your Home Screen. |
| Show an «Install» button in every browser | It only appears where the browser offers it. Elsewhere you add the icon from the browser menu, with «Add to Home Screen». |
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. A browser is enough. Adding it to your Home Screen is optional and only opens it full screen.
Is it the same library as the Android app?
Yes. Sign in with the same account and you'll find the same shows, movies and watched episodes.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes, in the browser. There's no iOS app: to get it full screen, tap «Share», then «Add to Home Screen».
What does it cost?
Nothing. Basic use of Episodely is free and stays free, with no ads.
