A Trakt alternative for tracking shows, anime and movies
Episodely reads your Trakt export and brings back shows, movies, watch dates, rewatches and ratings. On top of that, comments live under each episode and stay hidden until you've watched it, anime show the series' absolute number (E414), and there are no ads.

How to switch
- Download your Trakt export. On trakt.tv open Settings, then Data, and press “Export now”. Trakt prepares a ZIP.
- Upload it to Episodely. Sign in and pick the ZIP from the import in Home or Settings, no need to unzip it.
- Find your library. Shows and watched episodes with their dates, movies, watchlist and 1 to 10 ratings come over. Plays beyond the first become rewatches.
- Read the summary. The TMDB, TVDB and IMDb IDs in the export match the titles. If one can't be matched with confidence, the summary tells you.
What Episodely doesn't do
| It doesn't | Why, and what happens instead |
|---|---|
| Mark episodes on its own while you watch | It doesn't connect to Plex, Kodi or streaming services: you mark the episode as watched yourself, on the website or in the Android app. |
| Bring over your Trakt custom lists | Watchlist, history and ratings come in from the export. Custom lists, comments and friends stay on Trakt. |
| Run as an app on iPhone | There's an Android app today. On iPhone and iPad you use Episodely in the browser, and you can add it to your Home Screen. |
| Keep more than 6 custom lists | You get up to 6 private custom lists, each mixing shows, anime and movies. |
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to stop using Trakt?

Do watch dates stay the original ones?
Yes. Episodely reads the date of every play from the export and keeps it, rewatches included.
Does Episodely connect to Plex or Kodi?

What does it cost?
Basic use is free and stays free, importing and exporting your data included. Paid plans are announced but not active yet.
